What is Christy's Landing?

Christy's Landing is one of the original Wisconsin Taverns. They specialize in making customers feel welcome. The tiki hut is a great spot if you are here during the hot summer months boating, fishing, or playing volleyball to enjoy a cool beverage. They are a one of a kind bar/tavern/restaurant. Christy's Landing have so much to offer year round that you will have to come back again and again to soak it all in. This includes the winter months when you can make a stop on a snowmobile or icefishing outside the front door. Each member of staff is highly trained, and willing to make your stay the best possible if you are a returning customer, a regular, or it's your first time.

History of Christy's Landing

From the ashes of the first Christy’s Landing at 2952 Waubesa Ave. rose the lakeside bar that brings a little bit of northern Wisconsin lake life closer down south. Every summer, Christy’s hosts pleasure boaters, pickup volleyball players and families in flip-flops tossing bean bags on the Madison side of Lake Waubesa.

Eric Christenson, one of the tavern's owners, says that Christy's Landing has been in operation since 1936 and strives to be a good neighbor throughout the town of Dunn.

Christy's Landing has been family owned for over 85 years, it is one of the most popular bar & restaurants in the Madison area since the bar's inception by Dennis Christenson in 1936. In the early 1970's, Dennis' son, continued the legacy of Christy's when he purchased the bar from his father. In the mid 1990's his children purchased the business from Richard in order to continue the legacy of the family business.
